BAHATI Vanessa's Journey to Empower Visually Impaired Children

In the heart of Rwanda, a story of inspiration and triumph was born in the remarkable journey of Ms. BAHATI Vanessa. Her commitment to empowering visually impaired children has not only garnered recognition from the US Embassy but also earned her the esteemed “Younger Rwandan Achiever” award from Her Excellency Madam Jeannette KAGAME.

Ms. Vanessa’s journey began with a profound calling, a calling that led her to champion the rights and futures of visually impaired children. The personal journey started with the diagnosis of her own son’s visual impairment, sparking a determination that would shape her life’s purpose.

In response to this calling, Ms. Vanessa founded the JF Foundation, a sanctuary for visually impaired children. However, the foundation’s mission extends beyond traditional education. It encompasses holistic care, healthcare, and more, creating an environment where these children can flourish.
