Our History

Who We Are?

Jordan Foundation has a profound history rooted in love, compassion, and unwavering determination. Our story began when our founder, BAHATI Vanessa, embarked on a personal journey that would ultimately change the lives of many. Years ago, Vanessa received the life-altering news that her own child had a visual impairment. Rather than succumbing to despair, she channeled her love and energy into a transformative mission. Fueled by a mother’s devotion, Vanessa set out to ensure her child and many others like him could thrive, learn, and dream without limitations. In 2015, Vanessa established JF, a platform for change, support, and hope for visually impaired children in Rwanda. She envisioned a world where these children could access quality education, healthcare, and a nurturing environment.

Empowering the Vision of Tomorrow

JF is dedicated to empowering visually impaired children, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential. We firmly believe that visual impairment should never limit a child's ability to explore, learn, and grow. Our mission is to break down barriers and create opportunities for these remarkable children.

IMPROVING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

My name is BAHATI Vanessa, 34 years-old married woman with 6 children. My country of origin is Rwanda. That is basically where my family lives, plus the Foundation that I am going to tell you about operates.

In 2015 I was blessed with my 3rd born son, I was excited to receive an additional of blessing in our family, and my doctor scheduled a C-section.
